Industry Train load train in mechanical engineering
A Swiss machine tool manufacturer drives Jungheinrich electric tow tractors with a Neumaier Industry Train. Forklift out, load train in. When it comes to optimising internal material supply, a Swiss mechanical engineering company for gear grinding at its headquarters in the canton of Zurich clearly relies on the load train concept.
The load train had to be able to operate both indoors and outdoors, the goods had to be protected from the weather as best as possible, many different good carriers had to be transported, and the employees had to be able to operate the load train easily and comfortably.
The requirements were met with the Neumaier Industry Train load train of the IT820 series with 3 universal platform load carriers. Together with the Jungheinrich electric tow tractor EZS 7280, this was the perfect solution for the customer to achieve his set goals and optimisations in intralogistics.
The 3 platform load carriers can be flexibly loaded and unloaded from both sides with different load carrier types and load carrier sizes using lift trucks via folding ramps. In the outdoor area, the goods are protected from external weather influences in the best possible way with wind- and waterproof weather protection tarpaulins.
For safe (driving) operation, the load carriers are also equipped with clearance lights and the spaces in between are secured with roll-up walk-through barrier tapes. In addition, a comprehensive lighting system is installed on the end module with tail light, rotating beacon as well as brake and indicator lights.
